Sage have released a HotFix that will allow you to enter 18 digit card numbers in Sage 50 Accounts 2008.


To download the Sage 50 Accounts 2008 Payment Solution HotFix


  1. Click on the 'download' button below

  2. To save the 'zip' file to your PC, from the File Download window click 'Save' .

  3. From the Save As window, locate and select the required destination, for example, your desktop then click 'Save'.

  4. Locate the relevant 'zip' file on your PC, double click on the file icon and follow the on-screen instructions to successfully 'unzip' the file to a desired location on your PC.

You have now successfully downloaded and unzipped the Sage 50 Accounts 2008 Payment Solution HotFix.

To install the Sage 50 Accounts 2008 Payment Solution HotFix


N.B. Before installing this update, if you are using Windows XP, Vista, 2000 or 2003, you must ensure that you have logged on to your PC as a local administrator.

If you are installing the Sage Payment Solution HotFix on a Terminal Server then you must use Install mode. For further information about using Install mode, please refer to your system administrator.


  1. Locate and double-click the relevant unzipped file (as shown above), for example, 'sg501400001.exe'

  2. To confirm that you are logged on as an Administrator, click 'Yes'

  3. To confirm the location of Sage 50 Accounts 2008, click 'Yes'. If the path specified is not correct, click 'No' and then browse to the correct location.

  4. When the Installation is complete, click 'OK'.

You have now successfully installed the Sage 50 Accounts 2008 Payment Solution HotFix.


N.B. If you have any pop-up blocking software installed, it may prevent you from downloading this file. It may be necessary to temporarily disable the blocking of pop-ups.
